It's set to be cool weather on Thursday here in Lubbock and you can bet that you'll see plenty of fall gear dusted off and brought out of the closet. The weather forecast for Thursday is set to be downright chilly. This means you can break out a small portion of your winter clothes and mix them in with your summer style.

Light outerwear is the best way to go for the first chill of the fall. It works perfect because a jacket can compliment nearly everything you'll have in your closet and will work nicely to beat the cold chill. You can also take it off and not worry about being overly warm or left with that feeling of something is missing from the outfit.

Look how Melanie and Tina add a jacket to their outfit. They use solid, neutral colors to not overstimulate the outfit. Both girls are wearing a bright top to go under the neutral. Never wear a bright jacket with a bright top and never wear a jacket that's too flashy. Just takes too much away from the outfit and it makes  you look like you dressed in the dark.

If you don't have a jacket or you think it's time to get a new one, then head out to your favorite stores because fall gear has already started to roll in. If you're shopping on a budget, try a second hand store, thrift store or anywhere there's a sale. Melody and Tina found both of these jackets at the Salvation Army, here in Lubbock.
