This Is Your Sign to Adopt Another Pet From the Lubbock Animal Shelter
If you've been on the fence about whether or not you can handle another pet, consider this is your sign. You totally can! The Lubbock Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is full of wonderful pets that would love to join the party at your house.
I have an 11-year-old cat that's lived the majority of his life alone with me. I started feeling like maybe he needed a friend to keep him company after reading an article that made me feel a bit sad that he'd been my sole animal. He had been really lonely when I was away working, and I never actually realized it until that moment.
So I brought home another kitten for him to be buddies with, and he's seriously become a totally different cat. They're two peas in a pod, and having another cat didn't add any extra stress to my life. In fact, I'm really happy they have one another.
If you've only got one pet, they might really like to have a friend and you won't notice much of a difference when you're buying pet food or litter. It's really nothing to take one more home with you, and it will really add more love to your home.
I'd encourage anyone who lives a pet-free life to open their heart and take home a new furry friend. If you've already got a few, what's one more? It would mean the world to them, and they will show you how grateful they are by snuggling up to you and telling you thanks in their own special way.
