Are smoking and drinking really the keys to a long life? One man's story suggests they might be.

Yu Fangyin, a 99-year-old Chinese man, drinks more than 10kgs of rice wine every month. He also smokes regularly.

In fact, other residents in the Chinese town of Shuping who live into their 90s argue that the keys to a long life include a great argument every once in a while, hard work and a drink.

This is great news! This past weekend, my wife and I celebrated the return of spring with some mimosas, beers and cigars at the pool while enjoying the 80-degree temperatures.

As I've mentioned in other posts, my wife is a bit of a health nut. However, she tends to come down with some kind of respiratory illness at least once a year. Meanwhile, I can't remember the last time I was sick (knock on wood).

I have a theory that smoking cigars and sipping tequila keep me in front of any illness; the smoke and alcohol kill any virus that tries to take me down. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!

As the weather continues to get better, will you grab your favorite adult beverage and smoke 'em if you've got em?
