Lil Wayne Sends ‘Kongrats’ to Texas Tech Basketball Star Jarrett Culver After He’s Drafted

Texas Tech basketball superstar Jarrett Culver is having a big week. Personally, I would have loved it if the shooting guard had landed a position on a Texas based team, but we can't all have it our way.

Culver was drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft on Thursday and is headed to Minnesota. He also signed a deal with Adidas as a brand ambassador. And now, he's getting some props from one of the biggest names in hip hop.

Rapper Lil Wayne posted a congratulatory note to the recently-drafted former Texas Tech player and his family on his Instagram page, @liltunechi.

"Kongrats to the homie @jarrett_23 and the Culver Family! Kan’t wait to see you kill it on the next level!" the rapper wrote on his page.

We have no doubt Culver is going to "kill it" in the NBA, and all of Lubbock is wishing him the best as he begins his pro career.
