Anime Lubbock’s Guest List Is an Impressive Who’s Who of Iconic Anime Voices
Anime Lubbock is a new hotel anime convention brought to you by West Texas convention experts. The event will have everything you expect from a premier anime convention, including artists, vendors, performances, special events, and celebrity guests.
As someone who uses my voice for a living (and who just die if I ever got to voice an anime character), I am particularly interested in the talented and iconic voice actors that bring our favorite anime characters to life on their English dubs. Anime Lubbock is bringing actors from extremely popular anime series like Dragon Ball, Attack on Titan, and My Hero Academia.
Here is a short rundown of the four voice actors that are currently booked for 2021's Anime Lubbock.
Jason Liebrecht, who primarily voices bad boys and villains:
Jason is the English voice of Qrow (RWBY), Zeke/Beast Titan (AoT), Dabi (BNHA), Kunimitsu (Fruits Basket), Rob Lucci (One Piece), Mars (Black Clover), Champa (DBS), Vulcan Joseph (Fire Force), Hei (Darker than Black), Yato (Noragami), and many more!
Christina Kelly, who voices Alice from the incredibly popular Food Wars!
Christina is the English voice of Mine (Akame ga Kill!), Kisara Tendo (Black Bullet), Alice Nakiri (Food Wars!), Pepperoni (Girls und Panzer), Hajime (Hamatora), Loki (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?), Sanae Takahashi (Just Because!) Yamato (KanColle), Padparadscha (Land of the Lustrous), Kawara (Log Horizon), Polt (Monster Musume), Shizuku Ariyama (My Girlfriend), and many more!
Charlie Campbell, who voices Gran Torino from MHA:
Please welcome Charlie Campbell to Anime Lubbock! He's the English voice of Gran Torino, Wakaba Mine, Leader X, Fujitora, Hakurou, and many, many more!
Elizabeth Maxwell, whose voice work is extremely prolific:
Elizabeth is the English voice of Ymir in Attack on Titan, Bishamon in Noragami, Albedo in Overlord, MIdnight in My Hero Academia, Caulifla in Dragon Ball Super, Urbosa & Riju in Hyrule Warriors, and many more!
Anime Lubbock will be held June 11th-13th, 2021 at the MCM Elegante Hotel (801 Avenue Q). VIP memberships, weekend and day memberships, and hotel booking are available through the Anime Lubbock website. There are still some spots for vendors and artists but those are going fast, so if that's you I'd advise you book ASAP.
