Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Lubbock Con, Kid’s Workshop, & More
The weekend is finally here, and there are so many fun things to do in Lubbock. I can’t believe February is almost over, it feels like 2024 is going by so fast.
Lubbock-Con 2024
This convention is the largest in Lubbock and also the only non-profit con in town. It will be at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center on February 24th and 25th. They will have a variety of panels, special guests, vendors, and fun for the kids. Plus, kids under 12 get in for free with the purchase of an adult’s ticket. Single day passes are available at the door and weekend passes are available online.
Kid’s Workshop – Bird Feeder
The Dutch house of Plants is hosting a fun DIY class for the kiddos. They will learn how to make their own pinecone bird feeder that they can take home and put up to watch birds enjoy it at home. The workshop is on February 24th at 11:00 a.m.
DIY Doormats
Another fun DIY project that is more suited for adults is this DIY doormat workshop. It is on February 24th at 3:30 p.m. at Board & Brush. They will provide everything you need to make a fabulous doormat to take home. Pre-registration is required, and seats are limited.
Farmers Market
If you are wanting to get out and enjoy the nice weather this weekend, you can head over to Wolfforth for their weekly farmers market. It is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00, is pet friendly, and features a variety of great vendors from in and around Lubbock.
