Southcrest Baptist Church Is Hosting COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Throughout June
The City of Lubbock Health Department has announced in a news release that free COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held at Southcrest Baptist Church throughout the month of June.
Southcrest, located at 3801 South Loop 289, will host vaccine clinics every Wednesday throughout the month. On Wednesday, June 9th, the clinic will last from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., then every other Wednesday, June 16th, June 23rd and June 30th, they will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both the first and second doses of the Moderna vaccine as well as the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be offered for those 18 years of age and older. Those wanting to receive their second dose of the Moderna vaccine are asked to bring their vaccination card with them when they attend the vaccination clinic.
No appointments will be necessary, as this is a walk-in only clinic.
Also, Covenant Children's at 24th Street and Nashville Avenue is holding COVID-19 drive-up vaccine clinics for kids 12 and older throughout the month. Patients can receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on June 12th and 19th, and second doses will be given on June 26th, July 3rd and July 10th. These clinics will all be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
