It is that time of the year. The South Plains Fair kicks off tonight and the midway will be jammed packed with vendors of all kinds. Food that you would only eat at the fair or on a bad acid trip. Games and rides galore for the kids and the kid in you. But one thing that we do not get to enjoy here in West Texas is the highly competitive world of 'Hog Calling".

Hog calling is the ability to successfully imitate the sounds made by hogs. Hog  calling can serve a purpose in the call of swine to dinner or, in the case of  Arkansas Razorbacks fans, showing support for their home team. Certain events, particularly county  fairs in regions known for the raising of pigs, will hold hog calling contest,  in which a panel of judges rates contestants on their  mimicry ability. While fairly free-form, these contests do usually have certain  rules. Yes there are rules.

I think that one of the rules is that you must look like a total jackass and be able to scream like an idiot. Check out this video and tell me if you can figure out any of the rules of "Hog Calling":
