New Construction Currently Underway at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport

Construction at the Preston Smith International Airport is currently underway.

The construction project will build a dedicated ready and return area for rental car customers just east of the entrance to baggage claim 2. The construction has impacted customer parking at the terminal, closing the short-term parking entrance located at the southwest corner of the parking lot.

All parking in the southwest section will be closed starting May 3rd, 2018. Additional long-term parking is available on the top deck of the parking garage.

Work at the airport is expected to wrap up in late June.
