Lubbock Resident Raises Money to fix Headstones
Earlier this week we told you about some local fools who thought it would be fun to vandalize some gravestones at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
They bright spot to this story is Lubbock resident Anna Ysasaga-Cuevas has started a GoFundMe page to help. According to Ms. Ysasaga-Cuevas a local company has agreed to assist in the repair of the 39 damaged markers but it will still cost a minimum of $50 per stone to fix. As of now the goal is to raise $10,000 for the repairs.
Obviously, some of the markers will cost much more than $50 to fix, and those that cannot be repaired will have to be replaced.
Ms. Ysasaga-Cuevas is a special woman and I applaud her actions in trying to bring community involvement in the hopes that we can continue to remember our deceased family and friends
