Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Dear Evan Hansen, Easter Bunny, and More
Easter weekend is finally here, and so is Dear Evan Hansen. Both are highly anticipated events that you have the chance to enjoy this weekend. Let’s take a look at how you can enjoy both of these, and some other events taking place in Lubbock this Friday through Sunday, April 7th through the 9th, 2023.
Friday:
Starting off strong, this Friday is the first one of the month, so Lubbock’s First Friday Art Trail will take place. The weather should be nice with only a light jacket needed if you tend to get chilly. Whether you enjoy art, live music, or food, there are a variety of things you can enjoy during First Friday. One of the performances taking place will be A Festival of One-Minute Dances at the LHUCA Firehouse Theatre.
Downtown Lubbock will be extra busy because Dear Even Hansen will also have a showing at 8:00 p.m. The show is mostly sold out, but there will be two showings on Saturday and two on Sunday that you can also check out. I went on Thursday night and really enjoyed it. It is a really beautiful show with a very talented cast.
Saturday:
This Saturday has a few different Ester events going on to get you ready for Sunday. Kelle B Jammin’ Kitchen is hosting an Easter Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Acceptance Insurance is hosting free photos with the Easter bunny at the same time. Adventure Park is hosting its Easter Hat Parade from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Kingsgate Center is hosting Bunny on the Move.
As usual, you can also check out the Wolfforth Farmers Market, or just enjoy the nice weather with friends and family.
Sunday:
This Easter Sunday has a couple events including Adventure Park’s Easter Celebration from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Little Woodrow’s is also hosting an Adult Easter Egg Hunt starting at 5:00 p.m.
As always, check out the Facebook events page for more stuff happening around town.
