Lubbock Camera Store Offers Free Photo Workshop This June

Armadillo Camera is a one-of-a-kind store in Lubbock that has all sorts of photo and video equipment available to purchase, rent, and admire.

You might miss them if you aren't on the lookout. They are located off of 34th street, next to Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe, and they are a cool place for photography lovers of all kinds. You can go there to get new camera equipment, have film developed, or talk to their knowledgeable staff. Plus, they occasionally host workshops that you can attend to improve your skills.

This June, on the 21st and 22nd, they are hosting their Summer Bash with Cannon.

This event features a variety of free classes at the studio next door to them, Hive Studio. There will also be free photo walks you can attend to practice your skills.

The focus is on Canon cameras, and they will have an in-store canon demo along with showcasing some of the latest Canon gear. You can also borrow one of their Canon cameras or lenses for the workshop, you simply must bring your own SD card and present a driver’s license to borrow.

You can also bring your own gear of any brand to use during the classes and walks.

This seems like a great time to practice your skills and learn some more about the world of Canon cameras. I’d love to see another shop like this open in the Lubbock area. It is a great way for photographers to get together and share their passion with likeminded folk.
