Liquidation Mania Announces Second Amarillo Store in Former Big Lots

The one thing about Amarillo is that we love a good deal. It could be on food, a car, clothes, electronics, home goods, and one-of-a-kind items. Amarillo has many stores where you can find great discounts.

Back in 2024, we shared with you that a new store had opened in Amarillo in the old Got Junk Thrift Store building at 16th and Washington, called Liquidation Mania.

Liquidation Mania is a store full of overstock products. These products come from businesses like Target, Amazon, Wayfair, and even Walgreens. Customers who shop at Liquidation Mania can save up to 90% on the items they would buy at these stores or online.

Also in 2024, Amarillo saw its two Big Lots stores close. The eastside building soon saw a DD's Discounts move in, and the Bell location has sat empty for two years until now.

A New Home on Bell Street

Liquidation Mania just announced that they will be moving into the former Big Lots building at 3415 S. Bell Street. We had a chance to speak to the owner, Kristina Montes.

We’ve been trying to get into this location since Big Lots closed up, and we finally got into the space.

Montes went on to say that they have run out of room at the Washington location, so they haven't been able to put that many items out. With the Big Lots location, they will have more shelf items and more furniture.

Montes tells us the new Bell store will have a more traditional discount store setup like Big Lots was and similar to Ollie's. They are planning a wide selection of apparel, appliances, furniture, tools, and automotive products at big discounts. She also said they are going to try to bring in the dry goods as well.

What's Different at the New Store?

There will be more space for more discounts, which means more deals for you. However, the biggest change from the Washington store to this new store is that they won't have bins. The bins will still be available at the Washington store and the store in Hereford. This store will be a different setup and shopping experience, but it will be bringing discounts and deals you won't want to miss out on.

Get ready for some amazing treasure hunting.

What About Crazy Top Deals?

One question that will be asked is whether this affects Crazy Top Deals, a very similar store right next door. Liquidation Mania says they respect that business and have no intention of stepping on their concept.

When Will It Open?

They haven't announced an opening date yet, but Montes says they plan to open on October 1, with a fallback date sometime in the first two weeks of October.

We want to be open for the holidays. That’s our busiest season of the year, and get these people some savings so they won’t have to pay retail prices.
