There once was a time when we were able to get some of the best potatoes in Amarillo. The Potato Factory was our go-to for the longest time. They started out on Georgia Street and then moved over to Western when Toot n' Totum built a new store at 34th and Georgia.

Everything was going great until The Potato Factory eventually closed its doors. While other spots have stepped up to fill the void, there was still something missing until Jacket Potato arrived.

The Jacket Potato Expansion: From Western to the Medical District
That is when Jacket Potato was born. The former Potato Factory location on Western was turned into Jacket Potato. It was brought to us by the folks at Toot n' Totum. Since they already owned the property, it was the perfect opportunity to bring a new concept to life."
Since they opened that location, they decided to expand. They announced a location opening in Pampa. Just recently, the news got out that they are getting a second location in Amarillo.
Filling the Mealtime Void in the Medical District
In an area that really needs it. The Medical District is getting a location.
Well this is great news for all my medical friends who work in the Medical District.
I just noticed Toot’n Totum right across from both hospitals is building a Jacket Potato in the old Which Wich space… and it even appears it’s going to have a drive-thru.
Considering our dining options over here are basically the hospital cafeterias, Taco Bell, and HUD’s, this might end up being the biggest healthcare advancement of 2026. Morale about to skyrocket over here! - Tyler True
