5 Lubbock Restaurants to Take Visiting Family Members Over the Holidays
If you have family coming in from out of town this holiday season, they'll need to eat at some point. Take them somewhere local and show off your city.
With the exception of one chain, I'm not including chain restaurants here because your family can probably go to those in their own town.
Also, this list is by no means definitive. It's simply suggestions for places that I have personally had great food. Feel free to add any other places you like in the comments.

Abuelo's
Abuelo's is a national chain, but this is the first restaurant they opened right here in Lubbock. And the Mexican food is fantastic. Especially good for family from the north who might not have ever tried good Mexican. You can find it at 82nd and Quaker.

Cagle's Steaks
The first time I ever had a truly life changing steak was at Cagle's. If your family wants to taste Texas, this is the place. Its out in the country and that just adds to the experience. It's located at 8732 4th St. Google it for directions.

Hayashi
If you like sushi, the best I've had in Lubbock is at Hayashi. Plus, they now have two locations - one in the old Bless Your Heart location at 19th and Memphis.

Double Nickel
This is one of the pricier restaurants on the list, but it's worth every penny. Or should I say nickel? Either way, everything here is delicious and your family will be very impressed. Your wallet might not be, but hey, it's the holidays, right?

Blue Sky
Looking for something simple, but awesome? Blue Sky Burgers is sure to please even the pickiest burger fan in your family. And their onion rings are groovy, too.
