Whole Foods is Developing a Kinect Driven Shopping Cart [VIDEO]

Holy crap technology is getting scary. Scary in a very cool way though. Whole Foods has developed or is developing, in other words they're still working the bugs out, an automatic shopping cart.

What it does is you put your shopping list on your member card at home, then you put your member card in the shopping cart at the store. It then uses the Xbox Kinect system to follow you around the store. As you load your list into the cart it automatically scans them. If you pick a wrong item it tells you, and then tells you where to find the right one.

When you're done it will automatically charge your account so there are no check-out lines, and you can either go straight to your car or have them bag your stuff first.

Do you know what this means? Ladies now you can trust your guy to do the shopping! My wife never trusts me because I'll get the wrong stuff. No more! Plus it keeps your budget in check because you decide on everything you need at home and don't make impulse buys at the store. I need this really bad.
