Now I'll admit, I'm an old-school hands-on vinyl DJ. Yes I've DJ'd in clubs with genuine Technique 1200's and actual vinyl. I've also mixed it up with the next generation CD spinners, with all the pitch and effects. But I quit before the mp3 craze blew up, and I haven't kept up with the times.

First I agree with the creator that often playing with the songs musical characteristics and sampling can be more fun and more creative than just getting the beats to line up. So if you save yourself those precious seconds lining everything up and can go straight to experimentation, you can achieve a lot more.
