University Medical Center: So Far, Coronavirus Tests Have Been Negative
Rumors of coronavirus in Lubbock have once again been shut down by University Medical Center.
The hospital on Thursday told Everything Lubbock while a patient was tested for COVID-19, the results came back negative. UMC said that they've asked for two more patients to be tested for the coronavirus.
On March 6th, UMC refuted a rumor being spread on social media that someone tested positive for coronavirus. The hospital confirmed that the Center for Disease Control tested an individual, but the result was negative.
As of March 12th, 2020, 23 people in Texas have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
