Twisted Root to Host Fundraiser for Texas South Plains Honor Flight

August 8th from 11am-9pm Twisted Root Burger Company (116 W Loop 289) will host a fundraiser for the Texas South Plains Honor Flight, whose mission is to:

Host and sponsor the annual Texas South Plains Honor Flight to Washington DC. The trip is at NO COST to the veteran. All expenses including charter flight, lodging, and meals are covered by contributions from local civic, religious, education, business, foundation, and private donors.

I think this is an incredibly kind and honorable pursuit. TSPHF prioritizes WW2 due to their advanced age, then veterans of any war with terminal illnesses and Korean and Vietnam veterans. A trip to our capitol is the least these brave folks deserve.

A portion of proceeds from meals purchased during the event (just be sure to mention you came in for TSPHF) will go towards the trip. They will also have a booth outside the restaurant (there's such a nice seating area there!) that will be collecting donations.
