Take Free Bachata Lessons this Fall at Jake’s Backroom
Now that the weather is cooler, you might be looking for things to go out and do around Lubbock. Enjoying a beautiful fall evening with your friends and family is always a great time, and fortunately there is a lot to do in town this time of year.
If you are specifically looking for a mid-week date night idea to spice things up, there is a great option at Jake’s Backroom.
They are doing a Latin night series each Wednesday from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. with drink specials, great music that you can dance a variety of styles to, and a free Bachata lesson at 8:30 p.m.
Keep in mind that the lesson itself is free, but there is a $5 cover to enter Jakes Backroom for the whole Latin Dance Night that goes until 11:30.
Bachata is a great dance to learn, even for first-timers. Bachata music is commonly played at Latin nights all over the place, so you can take what you learn here and expand it to other places. I know one of the instructors for the lesson and can vouch that he has plenty of Latin dance experience and will provide a good beginner-friendly lesson to anyone that decides to join.
If you are looking to learn other styles of dance, including other Latin styles, swing, tango, two step, line dances, and more, I highly suggest checking out Social Dance Lubbock on Facebook and keeping an eye out for the different classes they offer.
