When you step foot into any Texas bar, especially a country western one, you are likely to see the dance floor full of folks doing a certain iconic dance.

Country music is playing, the strings twanging and the bass kicking, as lovers, friends, and even acquaintances embrace and shuffle along the floor. This is the Texas Two-Step, the best-known dance in the Lone Star State.

If you grew up in Texas, then you are likely familiar with the beloved quick step shuffle.  There are many variations of two-step, but the Texas Two-Step is one that every Texan is proud to dance to.

Some like to show off with flashy tricks and turns, others prefer to sing along and glide, beer in hand. No matter how you like to two-step, it is a grand ol’ Texas time.
