MTV will be in Lubbock on December 1, filming for their new show, Savage Univeristy hosted by Dan Savage. Savage will be filming Texas Tech students and concert goers on December 1 at Wild West during the 2011 Taste of Country Christmas Tour with Brantley Gilbert.

The Occupy Wall Street has occupied our TV's for a few weeks now, and I'm sure that MTV won't be the last to capitalize on it's popularity. For right now, however, they are the biggest. First they have their newest "True Life" documentary on a few of the more prominent members of the movement...

Young The Giant looks to be the "next big thing" in music. The performances are getting raves everywhere. The band did a killer live version of their breakout single "My Body" at the MTV VMA's. Not everybody gets to play the VMA's so this is definitely a group to watch.

Even though it still doesn't really feel like summer is over, it will be ending officially soon. So MTV took a poll to find out what people's favorite summer song was. With over 500,000 votes cast it's a pretty good sample. And this top 5 accounted for over 95% of the total vote...

The MTV VMA's air This Sunday. On MTV of course. You can catch all the festivities starting at 8 on MTV. This year for their promos they got a bunch of cute animals to re-enact famous VMA moments from the past. My personal favorite is the 2nd one here re-doing the famous Madonna, Britney kiss...

Snooki dropped by GMA the other day to pimp "Jersey Shore", her line of slippers(?), and her NEW book, "Gorilla Beach."

Its no secret that anybody who willingly participates in reality tv shows will have to sign some form of contract or waiver. And much of it is typical legal jargon and stuff indemnifying the producers from any accidental harm a person may incur. But the producers of MTV's "The Real World" have gone WAY too far with this. If this isn't modern day indentured servitude I don't know what is.

MTV announced Thursday that Adele, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne will each perform at its annual Video Music Awards in August. This will mark the first VMA performance for Adele, who is up for multiple awards, including Video of the Year, for her chart-topping single, ‘Rolling in the Deep.’

There was a memorial service for "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn at Paramount Pictures last week. Co-star Rick Kosick put together a tribute video of Ryan's best moments from the show. Of course it's a lot sad, but then again you can remember all the laughs he brought over the years. He was always my favorite Jackass.
