MTV announced Thursday that Adele, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne will each perform at its annual Video Music Awards in August.

This will mark the first VMA performance for Adele, who is up for multiple awards, including Video of the Year, for her chart-topping single, ‘Rolling in the Deep.’

Here's her possibly award winning video.

Chris Brown said he is “excited” to return to the VMA stage, adding, “I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans.” I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Rihanna isn't part of those plans.

Lil' Wayne spouted off about it too. “Being a nominee and performer on the VMAs once again is an honor because everyone doesn’t get that opportunity. Looking forward to performing on the show, and having Tha Carter IV drop the same week!”

Wayne and Chris are nominated for best collab for "Look At Me Now."

And Wayne's up for best hip-hop for "6'7'."

But the BIGGEST potential winner is Katy Perry with 9 nominations. Most of those for "Firework."

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards air Aug. 28. Here are all the nominees.
