Shots Fired at Texas Tech Police Station, One Officer Reportedly Killed
We are getting word via our media partner, Everything Lubbock, and Texas Tech University that shots have been reported at the Texas Tech Police station at 413 Flint Avenue.
An officer with the Texas Tech Police Department was shot and killed, KCBD reports. The shooter, who's at large, is described as "6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans."
The call came into Lubbock Police and EMS at 7:50 PM Monday night.
From Everything Lubbock:
"The extent of injuries to the shooting victim was not known. Police radio traffic indicated there was a search for a suspect but official information has not yet been released. "
**UPDATE 8:58PM** Hollis Daniels is reported to be the shooter according to the Lubbock Avalanche Journal.
The Texas Tech Campus and University Medical Center are both on lockdown at this time.
