Nancy Neal with Lubbock's Parks and Recreation Department stopped by the KFYO studios to talk about one of Lubbock's longest-standing community traditions.

Santa Land happens at Mackenzie State Park every evening (Dec. 10 - 23) from 6 - 10 p.m. This year marks the 58th consecutive year that Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus have visited the Hub City.

Neal said the easiest way to get to Santa land is to travel east on Broadway until reaching the park at I-27.

There is no admission charge at Santa Land. Those who want a picture with Santa can bring their own camera and take a free picture, or they can purchase a picture for $5.

Food and hot chocolate available at the concession stand. There are also new additions to the painted scenes at Santa Land, including characters form the Disney mega-hit "Frozen" and the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
