If you've been spring cleaning and have donations, it's good to know this is still an option.

Even though Lubbock's Goodwill retail locations have closed temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they're still accepting donations at three locations in Lubbock, with plenty of hours available for drop off. However, be prepared for social distancing precautions, according to their website.

Additionally, we received this heartfelt statement in an email from Lubbock's Goodwill:

Goodwill wants our generous donors to know they are the lifeblood of our organization, allowing us to carry forth to our local community, our mission “to create job opportunities for people with barriers to employment.” More than ever, we need donations so that when the COVID-19 crisis has passed, we will be best prepared with stocked merchandise ready for the sales floor.

Lubbock's Goodwill needs our donations. They're available, but be prepared to unload your things yourself. People are being asked to unload into the bins provided to allow for social distancing.

Donations are accepted at these three Lubbock locations, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

  1. United Supermarket Parking Lot (82nd & Boston)
  2. Goodwill (5710 Spur 327)
  3. Goodwill (1940 34th Street)

All donations will be quarantined for 72 hours and sanitized.
