A big chain restaurant is making its way to Lubbock and it's going to feed all your fajita needs.

While I've honestly never heard of it before now, Fajitas Pete's has a lot of locations in Texas. Now they're setting their sight on the Hub City.

"When I think of Lubbock, I think of good-hearted people who take care of their neighbors, who take the time to say hello. That's the kind of relationship we want each of our restaurants to have with its customers," said Keith Fontana, one of Fajita Pete’s franchisees.

They say one of the things surprises people is just how good the food is. They aim to have great service, good food and at a good price point.

"We love the idea of bringing a great idea like Fajita Pete's to great communities. When I think of West Texas, I think of good-hearted people who take care of their neighbors, who take the time to say hello. That's the kind of relationship we want to have with our communities," said Fontana.

So how will this new place work? It is a Mexican restaurant that only focuses on delivery. This new spot will serve up fajitas, gluten-free options, other allergy needs, margaritas and so much more. Their fajitas meat includes chicken, beef, shrimp or veggies. They also serve up some good appetizers, burritos, enchiladas, salad and desserts. Oh, and don't forget the drinks.

"Most restaurants today are trying to adapt to delivery," Michael Humphrey, another  Fajita Pete's franchisee. "Fajita Pete's is designed for delivery. We are ready to come out swinging."

Their food will be available for delivery, dine-in or pick-up. They hope to also give back to the Lubbock community when they get here.

Humphrey said, "one of the biggest things we get to do as business owners is to give back to the communities we are in. Being from a small community and getting to be part of making a big difference—it’s humbling."

According to their marketing team, it should be opening in summer 2022. They will be located at 7604 Milwaukee Ave., Suite 100. You can find out more details on their official website.

The 13 Best Hole in the Wall Restaurants on 50th Street in Lubbock

These buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on. I wasn't as strict on this one as I was on my 34th Street version which you can read if you keep scrolling, but I defend my choices below. If you can get a cash loan in the same strip mall as your pizza, it might be a Hole in the Wall.
