Lubbock Last Minute Plans: Terror-Con, Apple & Food Truck Fest, and More
It’s the end of the week which means it’s time to look at your plans for this weekend. If you are’t sure what you want to do, or you tend to wait until the last-minute to make plans, here are a couple of events happening in Lubbock that you can check out.
Texas Terror-Con 2023
Saturday, Sept. 9th, is the one year anniversary of Texas Terror-Con. Hosted in Downtown Lubbock at the CASP Studios, this event is great for any horror and spooky season lovers. It starts at 5:00 and will move into the night until 10:00 p.m.
There will be a variety of vendors including Creature Haus, Cute As Hell, Dirt City Tarot, Leif’s Paintings, HubCity Slaps, Laughing Dove Engraving, and more. This is a great place to get gifts, shop for yourself, and support local small businesses in West Texas.
Apple & Food Truck Festival
Also on this Saturday, English Newsom Cellars is hosting an Apple & Food Truck Festival. From 4:00 to 8:30 p.m., there will be live music, food trucks, and more. The food trucks that will be there are Saffron & Spice, Mi Mesa, Wild Fire Wood Fired Pizza, Llano Cubans, and Rico Empanadas.

If one of those doesn’t fit your fancy, there are some other great options. Some other events happening this weekend include Fall Gardening in Lubbock at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Foundation, Inc., Bilingual Storytime at Mahon Library, and the Fall Trolly Tours at the National Ranching Heritage Center.
