Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Halloween Events Galore
We have finally reached Halloween weekend in the Hub City, and there are plenty of fun spooky events to check out around town. So, let’s jump right in to this week’s last-minute plans and see what looks like the best time for you.
Halloweenie Dog Derbie
On Saturday, October 28th, Little Woodrow’s is hosting their 2nd annual Dog Derby as a fundraiser for Haven Animal Shelter. You can enter your dog in the race by emailing the bar and registering. The race will be at 1:00 p.m. and costumes are highly encouraged.
Halloween Candy Pairing
English Newsome Cellars is hosting their Halloween Candy Wine Pairing this Friday, October 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is a great chance to try some new wine and learn about what type of candy pairs well with some of your favorite sips.
Spooky Rumba Lesson
If you are interested in learning how to dance, but also want another chance to wear your awesome costume, this lesson is a great opportunity. It is hosted by Social Dance Lubbock at the YWCA from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. this Saturday. They are teaching a spooky Rumba lesson. Rumba is an easy to learn and beautiful ballroom dance that is great for couples. The class will be followed by a chance to practice your moves with a dance party, and they highly encourage costumes.
Betenbough Homes Fall Family 5K
If you aren’t looking for a Halloween event, but still want to enjoy something seasonal, Betenbough is hosting a fall family 5k. It is in support of Lubbock Impact and is taking place in the Betenbough Bell Farms neighborhood from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
