Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: First Friday, Valentine’s, and More
As the weekend approaches, it is time to decide how you want to spend it. While there is nothing wrong with staying in and relaxing, there are so many great events going on in Lubbock that you can check out.
Starting with Friday, we have the First Friday Art Trail happening downtown. It is a great place to check out local art, music, and businesses. They are also featuring a collection of love stories at the Caviel Museum of African American History in celebration of Black History Month.
It shouldn’t be too cold this evening, but it’ll get chilly as the sun sets, so be sure to dress in layers.
Looking at Saturday, we have a variety of Valentine’s themed events including a Galentines Card Writing Party at Wild Lark Books, the Spread Love Valentine Open House at Kelle B Jammin’, and My Furry Valentine at the Maxey community Center.
We also have the Wolfforth Farmers Market, a Chinese Lantern Festival Celebration, the 2023 Black Business Expo, and Jesse Day & The Texas Knights performing at the Funky Door.
Sunday has another Valentine’s event with the YWCA Father Daughter Dance. Or, you can hang out at Two docs Brewery in the evening to wrap up your weekend with their 502 Jam Night.
