Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Dino Day, Bark & Brew, and More
Just because we are heading into the weekend with overcast weather doesn’t mean that you can’t still have some fun.
There are so many great event happening every weekend here in the Hub City, and I’m here to be your guide for all of your last-minute plans. So, let’s get into what April 28 through April 30 has to offer.
Friday:
Start your weekend off strong with a variety of different events.
If you are an animal lover, you’ll want to head over to Adventure Park for their VIP Shark Show & Dinner. Sports lovers can catch the Texas Tech softball game against Oklahoma State, and food lovers can head over to Lamesa for the Forest Park Chicken Fried Steak Festival.
There are also a few shows you can catch including Black Book at the Lubbock Community Theatre, Bakskerville at Cats Playhouse, or Jess Day & The Texas Knights at Back 40 Grill.
Saturday:
This Saturday is packed with great events for the whole family including shopping, dinosaurs, and more.
You can head over to the CASP 5&J Gallery for the Oddities Art Market from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. There will be all sorts of art for sale that your quirkiest friends are bound to love.
You can also check out Dino Day at the Texas Tech Museum. This event is great for the whole family and includes games, activities, and a chance to learn from real paleontologists. It is a free event, come and go, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday:
If you are a beer and dog lover, you’ll want to check out the Lions Club Camp Bark & Brew from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Two Docs Brewing Co. There will be dog adoptions, dog races, food trucks, live music, vendors, and of course, beer. This is a family-friendly event, so bring them all, especially your dog. Proof of vaccination is required for your dog to enter.
