Lubbock’s Gunny the Dachshund Is Headed to the Wiener Nationals

We had the privilege of meeting Gunny the Dachshund and his owner Jim Carlen before their trip to San Diego December 26 for the Wiener Nationals.

According to Carlen, Gunny won the Lubbock qualifying rounds in the spring and now will compete with only six others dogs in San Diego, California for the title of National Champion.

We met them at a local park and Gunny proved that he is always raring to go, whether he's chasing his bell ball or ducks and geese around the park. Go Gunny!
