Last-Minute Plans: What to Do in Lubbock on Sat. November 19, 2022
Continuing my series of last-minute plans you can make here in Lubbock, I have a great idea for those looking to get ready for Christmas this weekend.
This weekend, St. Joseph is hosting a Christmas Gift Fair. They will have up to 20 vendors selling handmade crafts, baked goods, jewelry, clothes, candles, home décor, and more. The even if happening on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., so you have all day to shop.
There will also be door prizes and a chance for kids to write a letter to Santa. This is a fun chance to get some holiday shopping done while also getting out of the house and checking out some small local businesses. It is so important to support small businesses and events like this are a great way to do so. You can see their products in person and get the chance to talk with the owner to learn more about what they make.
St. Joseph is also hosting a dinner on Saturday evening at 6:00 and breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information, you can visit their official event page on Facebook.
If you don’t feel like shopping, you can check out James T. Decker and Susan Wass Faculty Trombone Recital at Texas Tech. It is happening at noon in the Kent R. Hance Chapel and is a great way to listen to local musicians and support the university’s school of music.
