Vance Joy is an up and coming alternative artist that has been around for a few years. But last year the single "Riptide" took off for him and is starting to make the rounds on pop radio.

I love alternative music especially when a really good song crosses over to pop radio too. Echosmith, fun., Imagine Dragons just to name a few, have all crossed over big time. and now it looks to be Vance Joy's turn. Also known as James Keogh and hailing from Australia, this is his year.
