Thursday morning on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, Jerry Reynolds "The Car Pro" appeared for his weekly interview.

For this week's test drive, Jerry drove a 2017 Mercedes SL 450 convertible with a retractable hard top. It is the largest convertible that Mercedes makes and the model he drove had a sticker price of $108,000.  Jerry said, "It's an outstanding car. It gets good gas mileage, it's one of the few cars that looks as good with the top up as it does with the top down."

Jerry also discussed how he's noticing a trend, with luxury car manufacturers, where they are listing a car for a cheap list price when the car is really not worth that and there's no way you can get the car for that much. Jerry said, "It's misleading, and not to get too wrapped up in some of these base prices online."   He thinks the reason the companies do, is for clicks, so when people search for car prices online, their cars show up.

KFYO guest host Matt Crow asked Jerry if there are any new recalls. Jerry said the Hyundai Sonata has a recall over faulty seat belts, and Takata continues to have a recall out for faulty airbags. There are still 6 million cars still on the road with faulty Takata airbags.

Jerry also offered his opinion on proposed legislation to get rid of inspections for Texas vehicles. He said, "It's a revenue builder. 40 states already don't have them. Also, get rid of front license plates!"

The Car Pro Show with Jerry Reynolds and Kevin McCarthy can be heard Saturdays from 11am-1pm on News/Talk 95.1 and 790, KFYO.
