Manor, Texas is home to some really great families that have been thriving in the area for several generations, but it had maintained a status as a small town outside of Austin for a very long time, but the recent surge in Central Texas growth has forced Manor to accept its new position of bedroom community.

What has turned Manor from small town to a bedroom community of Austin?
20 years ago Manor was a quiet community with only a little over a thousand residents. Now, it has jumped up to over 20,000 and most of those new people are either Austinites fleeing the weirdness or expense of the city, while still maintaining their jobs and careers by commuting a little closer into the Austin metro, or Austin proper.
What exactly is a micro hospital, and why does Manor need one?

According to this KVUE article, ground has already been broken along US Highway 290, and the 24,000 square foot facility will be physician owned to better serve and shorten the distance for those 20,000 plus Manor residents to receive primarily emergency care.

The hope is for the new TXM Manor Emergency Room and services to become available by July of next year, and that will allow for immediate access to healthcare to be shortened by at least 30 minutes for the local 20,000 and growing Manor residents.
