Not since Tiger Woods and The Master's course has a sport been changed because of an athlete's ability to dominate. In Augusta Georgia they were tired of Tiger making a joke of their golf course so the changed a few holes, added some length to the fairways. Some pitch and slope to some greens and lengthened the tee's. Bam, there you go, a hard golf course just got that much harder! That was one golfer on one course. What if it's 75% of the players on every course?
I'm talking about the NBA. The players seem to do magical things with a steel hoop and a leather ball, and to tell the truth it's getting boring. The just throw it at the hoop and it goes in! The three point line is still marked on the floor even tho most players throw it up 5 to 10 feet beyond that line. Dunking? Ha! Don't even get me started!

But really? Are the fans tired of seeing 120 point ball games and ridiculous acrobatics? Should the game change like it did for Tiger?

Check out some of what I am talking about.

What do you think? Is it time to make a change for the NBA? Perhaps a bigger area to play in would slow down the far superior athletes of today as compared to yesterday. If you had to run 20 to 30 more yards each way I think you would have a little slower paced game and some thought would go into shot making. What about the height of the rim? 10 feet, that is regulation today. I would like to see a 13 -15 foot rim and not everyone on the floor hanging off of it lake an animal.

I realize we have come a long way from a peach basket hung on a telephone pole but in my opinion it's time for the game to evolve just as it's players are.
