Hemline Dimensions & DIYs: Style by Devon [Sponsored]

As the weather gets hotter and hotter, our hemlines seem to get higher and higher. Luckily, designers have given us some dimension in hemlines... making for a more interesting look. I don't know about you guys, but I'm sure eating it up!

Speaking of dimensions, I've been meaning to share my favorite DIY with you guys! I recently was on the prowl for some great cut off cuffed black denim shorts. I'm obviously a teensy bit picky when it comes to my wardrobe, but I didn't have my sights set too unrealistic while searching for these. Little did I know, black cut off cuffed denim shorts are extremely hard to come by (I guess I didn't get that memo before searching). Super bummed, I had to rack my brain to think of some possible alternative to them. And then... it was like a lightbulb went off. I instantly remembered my elementary school and high school days of cutting my old jeans to great shorts. Well, duh Devon! This time, I raced to the Salvation Army of course, and found some old black denim jeans. A pair of scissors and a lot of measuring later, I cut them to my perfect length, cuffed them and Eureka- problem solved!

I encourage you guys to think outside the box when necessary, and not just in your jobs or when your teachers beg you to. Thinking outside the box in fashion will get you places, seriously.
