Estacado Makes ESPN Rise News

A jump from No. 24 to No. 7 in this week’s FAB 50 by Benet was not the only bold move in the poll. Estacado (Lubbock, Texas) improved from No. 35 to No. 24 while Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.) went from No. 41 to No. 30.

Estacado, the only team to pin a loss on FAB 50-ranked Westbury Christian (Houston, Texas), handed previous No. 13 Lincoln (Dallas, Texas) a 69-56 loss at the Dallas ISD Showcase at Ellis Field House on Saturday. Clarence Willard bombed in six 3-pointers and had 23 points, while Kevin Wagner hit for 17 points to lead the winners.
