We've all heard of them at one point or another. The latest internet craze, or YouTube sensation that's taking the world by storm, even though you have no idea who it is. Many of them have been "discovered" while covering a famous artists song in a stylish or quirky way, like Greyson Chance. While others, like Rebecca Black's "Friday" took the world by storm in a completely different way, and not a good one. So my question is do these people deserve their newfound fame, or are they just the flavor of the week? I'm not saying they don't have musical ability.  It's obvious they do in their videos. Even Rebecca Black can sing a little. But they're just getting famous from someone else's art. Greyson chance might have re-written Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" with a slightly different sound, but can he write his own song? I guess we'll see when his album "Waiting Outside The Lines" comes out.

Even Justin Bieber was "found" covering Chris Brown's "With You." Of course it came out pretty quick that he's got an endless well of musical talent, playing like 7 different instruments, singing and dancing. So with that in mind here are some of the more popular covers, including a newer act Karmin doing everything from Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne to Katy Perry. Comment after if they're any good.

Karmin's version of Lil' Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot"

And Katy Perry's "Firework"

So is it just a fad? Or is the internet where we're going to start finding all of the next big things now?
