Alan Jackson’s Daughter Alexandra Arrested for Underage Drinking and Assaulting a Police Officer (Video)

Alan Jackson’s 20-year-old daughter Alexandra was arrested early yesterday morning in Nashville and charged with underage drinking, resisting arrest and assault.

Around 2:30 A.M. on Wednesday, police say they saw a vehicle speeding and tailgating another car so they pulled it over. Even though she was NOT driving Alexandra got out of the car and started mouthing off to police.

According to the police report she, quote, "raised her hand in an angry manner" toward the officer. She then started making demands decided at that point it was a good idea to strike the officer in the chest. It was then that the cop said he'd have to arrest her so she decided to hit him again. She must have regretted that action because the then ran back to the vehicle trying to getaway.

As would be expected, she was cuffed. At that point she still had more to say including trying to bribe the cop by saying her father would do "anything" to get her out of trouble. It obviously didn't work since she was hauled in and spent the night in jail. Alexandra put up $35,000 bond and walked out at around 5:00 A.M. on Wednesday. Her court date is September 23rd.

Alan Jackson had performed a few hours earlier at Nashville's Station Inn, which is a mile away from where his daughter was arrested, but it's not known if Alexandra was at the show. This is the second of Alan's daughters with alcohol troubles. Last year his eldest, Mattie, was popped for DUI.
