I Swear This is the Best Pizza Place in Lubbock

One thing that everyone can agree on, no matter their age, interests, food restrictions, or other differences, is that pizza is delicious.

Even mediocre pizza can still be pretty good, but a great pizza is something magical.

Lubbock is home to a variety of great places to get pizza, but one stands out among the rest in my eyes. With the perfect crust, wonderful atmosphere, and great variety, Papa V Pizza is my all-time favorite pizza place in town, located at 8008 Abbeville Ave.

The owner, Jerry, is a Lubbock lover and Texas Tech fan through and through. He is passionate about the food he makes, and he loves to chat with customers when they dine in. He is originally from Sicily and his charming accent definitely reflects that.

I always get their classic margherita pizza and it is to die for. The crust is always cooked to perfection, the olive oil is delicious, the basil is fresh, and the ratio of cheese is excellent. They also offer a wide variety of other pizza options as well as salad, pasta, calzones, winds, and more.

You can dine in at a booth or table or call in your order in advance and pick it up at the drive-thru. At lunch they offer pizza by the slice, and you can always get a whole pie when you need one. The staff is al friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Whenever anyone asks me where they should get pizza in Lubbock, the answer is always Papa V, without a doubt.
