There are basically four types of drivers in Lubbock. They are:

  1. Slower drivers who obey speed limits like a religion
  2. Slow drivers who drive very slow, generally way under the limit
  3. The average driver who drives at or above the speed limit
  4. Those who are all about speed or love to tailgate

For the most part, numbers 1 and 3 don’t bother me all that much. Tailgaters annoy me to no end, but eventually, they will eat someone’s bumper.

The one that annoys me more than anything is number 2, the slow driver who regularly drives under the speed limit.

As a rule, these types of drivers aren’t a major problem. They tend to go anywhere from 5-20 miles under the posted speed. But if you're in a hurry, well, they slow you down and force all the folks behind them to drive as slow as they are.
