Help Local Students Thank Our Boys in Blue
National and Global Youth Service Day is on Saturday and a group of humble Tech students have decided to show their appreciation to Lubbock’s Police Department.
It’s all happening on Saturday, April 21st and for their business management class, a group of 5 Tech students called Heroes in Training have decided that for their service project they are going to show some appreciation to our boys in blue, but they are needing a little help from you guys in the community to really say it big. If you would like to help volunteer with these guys, the event is at the Volunteer Center at 1706 23rd Street at 11am. Email their contact ahead of time if you are interested in volunteering at paige.parkhill@ttu.edu. They are also making goodie bags to give to the Lubbock PD so donations such as baked goods, bottled water/sports drinks, fruit, granola bars, or even a Thank You card from you would be great!
