Okay the days of gluttony are almost among us and for some of you that work so hard all year do not want to blow all your hard work.

Never fear, buried somewhere on the Thanksgiving Day bounty are four items that you can load up on and still look and feel great the rest of the weekend.

1.  Turkey.  Turkey is one of the healthiest meats, and it's almost totally fat free.  It's also a great source of protein. So load up and just forget the skin.

2.  Cranberries.  People usually only eat them once a year, but cranberries are one of those healthy super-foods. They have a bunch of antioxidants and nutrients, so they help prevent ulcers and infections.  They're also loaded with vitamins. If they are a little tart for your pallet just add some sweet and low and Sprite or 7-up.

3.  Sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber and minerals, so they're better for you than regular mashed potatoes. Oh you are so lucky that these  are healthy! I am not talking about the ones that have been baked all day covered in brown sugar and marshmallows, believe it or not if you grill a sweet potato then you will really discover it's true natural sweetness.

4.  Apple pie.  Apples are full of vitamins and fiber, so that's a score.  But apple pies usually contain a bunch of spices that are filled with health benefits.  And if you make it with a wheat crust, it's even better for you. Just don't add whipped cream or ice cream. You have to splurge a little so don't be to strict on yourself this Thursday. Happy Holidays....Biggy
