Class is in Session: Public Pool Etiquette 101 [SPONSORED]
Fall classes are quickly approaching. With a only a couple of weeks left of your summer this is NO time to give up on your pool etiquette. Don’t get lazy! Here is a small refresher on how to be courteous to your fellow pool partiers!
Attire: Cover yourself up! Nothing should hang out or jiggle. If it jiggles put it away! Yes it’s a pool but there is such thing as showing too much! Guys make sure your swim shorts are long enough. Sure you’ve been working out your quads all summer but no one needs to see you in a Speedo. The same goes to you ladies. If you constantly have to keep adjusting your bikini to cover the appropriate places it may not be the best choice for a public pool!
Shave: Ladies, of course this applies more to you. No one wants to see your native side come out at the pool but you know the basic target areas to clean up! Guys, this applies to guys as well! No one is asking you to go full meathead and shave your chest but ladies want to run their fingers through the hair on your head- NOT your back!
Mind Your Toes: Ladies, make sure you got a pedi recently. No cracked or chipped toenails and pick a bright & fun color that will boost your tan! Guys, it wouldn’t hurt you to get your hooves trimmed either. If you are completely against sitting in a massage chair and having your feet rubbed (you’re crazy) then make sure your toenails are trimmed! There’s nothing worse than having to run for a first aid kit because you cut someone swimming too close to your flippers!
It’s Pool Not a Toilet: Enough said.
Clean Up After Yourself: Public pools can get over crowded and space is limited! It is important to keep your things to yourself and pick up any unwanted trash! No one wants your cans rolling around or blowing in to the pool so use trashcans or put used items back in your cooler!
