As the world has moved online and the cost of living continues to increase, many businesses are taking a hit and having to close stores around the country, including Texas.

It doesn’t matter if they sell clothing, home goods, food, or something else, many big brands are taking major profit hits that lead them to make tough decisions. Whenever a business is low on profit, especially if they are in debt, they are going to either lay off a certain number of employees, or close down their least profitable locations.

Bed Bath & Beyond

One of the biggest examples of this recently happening was with Bed Bath & Beyond. They closed every physical store they had, moving all their sales online via their website.

While it is sad to see some staple businesses close throughout the Lone Star State, I take this as a reminder to support your local shops. There are so many great small businesses all around Texas that sell the same types of products as these big stores, so why not support them instead?

Big Box vs Local

Despite this, you likely still want to know if one of your go-to stores is going to be closing near you, so keep scrolling for a list of big brands that already have or are planning to close some of their locations in Texas in 2024.
