Wayland Baptist Holding In-Person Graduation Ceremonies for 2020 and 2021 Graduates
On Saturday, April 24th, Wayland Baptist University will be holding in-person graduation ceremonies both for graduates who couldn't be recognized during 2020 and those who graduated in 2021.
These 3 graduation ceremonies will all happen on the same day in the Hutcherson Center, located at 1900 W. 7th Street in Plainview.
The first ceremony for those who didn't get to participate in 2020 will begin at 9 a.m. 44 students from the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the School of Business are scheduled to participate in this ceremony.
Then, the 2021 graduating class will be divided into 2 ceremonies that will happen at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. 46 students from the School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Fine Arts, School of Languages and Literature, School and Mathematics and Sciences and School of Music will participate.
Admission to all 3 of these ceremonies is by ticket only. Graduates have been issued an allotment of tickets for family and friends that wish to attend. All eligible students have been contacted to determine who would participate and how many tickets they would need each.
The ceremonies will all be livestreamed at wbu.edu/graduation.htm.
Each ceremony is expected to last around an hour, and the space will be immediately cleared upon each ceremony's completion so crews can clean and disinfect before the next ceremonies start.
