Velvet Taco Is Looking for the Next Great Taco & Kelsee Pitman Has Some Ideas

I've already tried so many items from Velvet Taco's mind-blowing menu, but the next great taco I eat might be...yours!

How does coming up with your own taco to be featured at Velvet Taco sound?

The restaurant is looking for you to come up with a crazy new taco for their Weekly Taco Feature (WTF). All you have to do is submit your awesome/weird/funny idea at the WTF Recipe Contest page and you could win a private prep session with Velvet Taco's Director of Culinary in a Velvet Taco kitchen, $250 Velvet Taco gift card and a featured spot on their WTF menu on National Taco Day, October 4th. Velvet Taco's contest runs from July 11th through July 25th, so get those wild taco ideas submitted ASAP.

But that's not all that's going on at Velvet Taco this month.

They're still doing the awesome Party on the Patio all month long every Thursday. Lubbockites can enjoy great food deals, fun giveaways and live local music from 4 p.m. to midnight, making it the place to be in the Hub City.

I also wanted to give y'all a sneak peek at something new Velvet Taco is doing. They're taking it up a notch for their most hardcore fans. Members of their loyalty program, The Velvet Room, who are part of the Bad Ass and Hard Ass loyalty tiers will have access to order the Backdoor Menu ("secret" menu) online and via their app. The backdoor/secret menu will take your summer to full-on heat.

The Backdoor Menu officially launches for loyalty members in the middle of July, but I'll be telling you more about it in the future.
