It's almost time to gather together once again to celebrate not only wine, but Texas wines during the 6th Annual Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival. Now, you might be thinking that this seems a little soon after the last Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival that happened in November?

Yes, last year's was moved, but it was a great turnout for a Fall event. Now we get to see how it works in the Spring, and if you've never gone to Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival, you are missing out.

The Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival will be Saturday, April 2nd at the American Windmill Museum from 1 to 6:00 pm. The event is billed as a celebration of West Texas wine and grapes. More than 20 Texas Wineries from across the State of Texas will offer tastes of the wines. Want to purchase a whole bottle or a few bottles? No problem! Wine will be made available for purchase during the event.

Tickets cost $35 in advance or $45 at the door. You can purchase tickets online or at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. According to a press release by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, there will also be VIP tickets ready to purchase.

For the ultimate luxury experience, VIP tickets can be purchased for $75 in advance or $85 at the door for access to the VIP area with premium wine tastings and specially crafted hors d’oeuvres. Limited numbers of VIP tickets are available and will not be available for purchase at the door if sold out.

Admission includes ten one-ounce wine tasting tickets.  More tickets for wine tasting will be available for purchase at the event.

Two wine education classes will also be available at this year’s event. Tickets for both classes must be purchased in conjunction with a Lubbock Uncorked ticket. “Wine Basics” is a fun way to learn more about wine from the best in the industry before you go out to visit all the wineries at the festival. The class will be offered from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tickets for this class are $35.

Amy Marquez with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will stop by The Chad Hasty Show with Matt Martin on Tuesday for more information.
